I wasn't sure where to post this but It's been a while and today I decided to take some pictures and thought I would share.

Taken with a Canon 7D and a Sigma 50mm 1.2

I presume the keys are the main subject. As you have used an extremely shallow DOF to get rid of an ugly background (overflowing bin), I would have shot the piano from higher up looking down. More of the keys would be in focus while still hiding the background in bokeh.

At the moment, this constitutes gross bokeh abuse.

If I ignore the bin in the first shot (which is pretty easy since I didn't spot it was a bit until after it had been mentioned :P) then I quite like that first one :)

#1 for me doesn't feel right because of the total lack of keys, you've just focused on a gap.

#2 I kinda like, maybe like to see some different crops but the keys are in focus which to me is what is important.

#4 Think I would have shot in spot metering and totally blown the window out but had a lighter face :)
