I bought a brand new 320GB PS3 in June/July. I have maybe played about 20-30 hours of games on it in total.
It's been used mostly as a way to streat Netflix/Iplayer.
This weekend, I tried to pop in a game as I had a fe4w friends over. The disk sounded like it spun for about 5 seconds. THen nothing. Doesn't throw up an error or any other indication that there is an issue.
I am planning to reformat it like a friend suggested, but I can't see how the disk drive can suddenly stop working. There's no damage on the console. Literally worked on the Thursday, dead on the Friday.
Anyone heard of this before? Am I likely looking at an RMA/replacement?
