broken/snapped bolt...

While refitting the thermostat housing on sunday, I managed to snap/break one of the bolts. What is the best technique for removing the bolt, is there a best way of using a drill to get the remaining part of the snapped bolt out?

I snapped a wheel bolt once and managed to get it out by just screwing the remainder through. I think i was quite lucky but a big dose of WD40 helped.

As above, get a bolt extractor if it has snapped inside.
