Broken TFT?

Hello

Staying at a friends house while they have gone on holiday and sods law we where using their computer fine for a few days and we turned it on this morning and its got lines running across the screen and the picture (whats left of it) is off-centre.

Tryed unplugging the power for 5 mins, going through menu settings, plugging it into my laptop and still the same problem.

Is this just bad luck that is given up while we are here?

Have an old Sony TFT that does a similar thing. Usually just hit it or twisting it very slightly returns the picture to normal

Just tryed that and still nothing... Also when going through the menu and doing any thing on the screen its very laggy, like the refresh rate has gone or some thing?

Just hoping when our friends family get back they dont think we broke it :S
