Broken toe

I broke my little toe the other week (combination of a cat, a kitchen stool, and stupidity).

It's currently strapped to the toe by it!
Has this happened to anyone else before? (The broken toe part, not the how I did it part). How long will it hurt for?

Hurts to walk and I want to get back to the gym (swimming especially)

I went to the A&E when I did it. It was all out of place, and discolated too.
Had X-Ray to confirm the break, and then the doc yanked and pulled the toe back into place.

Needless to say, that hurt like hell.

Doc has given me a months worth of strongish painkillers which are helping!
Guess I need to put up with it until it heals! Not much else I can do really

yeah! Both mine are deformed! They lay over the toe beside it.
Right one obviously worse now.

My Grandad had the same with his toes. Maybe it's genetic?

I had an X-ray to confirm the break.
I am making sure it's always strapped

Well, I guess it was funny looking back, but it really did hurt at the time.
Still not fully healed, but I am off the painkillers, and can wear normal shoes again!
