Broken USB ports

Hi chaps

I have a laptop that has two physically broken USB ports, dont ask! lol (The laptop only has two USB ports)

What options do I have in getting USB ports working again?, the laptop doesnt have a PCMCIA slot so cant install an PC - USB card...

Is the only option to install a new mobo?

Probably not worth it! You may be able to find 2 USB ports and resolder them back on. Take it to bits, post pics, dimensions between pins etc and I can see if I can help. I may be able to get them from suppliers. Depends on age, style and solder type!

should be able to get this fixed for less than £100 at a laptop repair shop.

This type of soldering can be tricky for the novice but if you have experience soldering then go ahead and replace them.
