My 6 month old 360 has failed, 3 red lights of doom! (what a suprise

Should I take it back to the store where they will swap it straight out or send it back to Microsoft?
If I take it back to the store I will loose the saved games on the HD (not too bothered about this) but if I send it back to Microsoft I'd probably get a refurb'd unit?
Thinking it'll just be easier to get it swapped out at the store...

But they didn't allow me to swap the HD's out and the manager wasn't there, not too bothered about that anyway, probably prefer having everything new, plus I kept my old headset!
