Bro's new laptop

Hey hey all, bit of advice if you'd please. Bro is looking for a new laptop and would like somthing in this range.

under 30mm thick
over 1.8 cpu
min 1gb ram
decent gpu for occasionaly gaming
under £650

He likes the look of the Asus F3JP

but he's found one thats:

basicly anyone had any experiance wih these lappies, read all the reviews and think am leaning towards the sony, (graphics card slightly worse BUT is DX10 compatabile) or can anyone suggest anything else?

yeh I've already suggested it to him, but for some reason he's turned against them, quite unfathomable but hey its his laptop. cheers tho.
