So my brother is looking for a laptop. He tried to buy a Dell XPS from Dell and they pretty much messed him around for four days until they decided they needed to change the graphics card from a 5XXM 3GB to a 5XXM 1GB (lol what...) basically he has a budget of £1.1k the laptop has to be new, preferrably have a 3rd gen i5 at least. RAM obviously at least 8GB (or 4GB if needs be can always upgrade later) Win7 Premium/Ultimate preferable and at least a good 500+ series graphics card with at least 2GB of VRAM for obvious reasons.
Brother needs a laptop...

Vortex III - i7-3610QM (2.3Ghz(Third gen i7)) - 675M (A very good GFX card) - 8GB RAM - 250GB Hard Drive - Windows Home Pre = £1103
Optimus III - i7-3610QM - 650M (Very good GFX card, not as good as above though) - 8GB ram - 250GB Hard Drive - Windows Home Pre = £843

Vortex: Battlefield 3 = high @ 55FPS
Optimus: Battlefield 3 = high @ 30FPS
