My younger brother (17) was mugged along with his mate yesterday by 2 big muslim lads whilst at college in Sutton Coldfield. They took his phone but he managed to hide his Sony MP3 player.

My brothers mate wouldnt give in so easily so they took him to one side and smacked him in the face a few times and completely butchered his upper lip. They also took his Versace jacket, MP3 player and his mobile phone.

They even went as far as warning them not to tell anyone like the cops or teachers, otherwise they'll get stabbed (my brother and his mate).

Now Ive got a good idea who these two big muslim lads are and they are notorious trouble makers in Birmingham and surrounding areas. Im feeling a little helpless because theres nothing me or my family can do about this.

These muslims really need to be put in their place big time. Apparantly this has been happening around the college quite a bit recently.

My problem is understanding the chip these young muslims have on their shoulder which gives them the attitude that they the whole flippin world owes them something???

When I went to Sutton college it was wicked. There were only a small handful of muslims there at the time and even then they used to keep themselves, whilst we were mixing with everyone. A year later a large influx of muslims from the aston, small heath and sparkbrook areas came to the college and since then its been nothing but trouble, and that was back in 1997.

Ill stop before I work myself up to a point where people start noticing at work. Just feeling hacked off and needed to get this off my chest, qwerty is staying firmly in its scabbard :)

My dad was even saying just go to the police, but my younger brother is afraid of any comebacks on that one. I can appreciate why because these guys are pretty well connected and are definitely not nice people.

I mean lets say they do get arrested and cautioned or fined etc, then what? With the type of mentality these guys are possessed with, I wouldnt be suprised if there were any repercussions against my brother.

Errol, I have no answer to your post. Sorry. You'll have to make whatever you can from what I said.

EDIT: For those asking how I know these guys are muslims, Ive had a run in with them before. Why? They targeted me and my friend the same way 2 years ago, and that was because my mate was wearing a turban cos hes sikh. If you want a history lesson regarding the enmity between Sikhs and Muslims this aint the time or the place. Besides Ive calmed down now, was more angry about the fact that mum and dad didnt tell me anything about this until this morning.

Im not discussing this side of it any further. If you so wish to please feel free but dont expect a response from me.

I got a feeling my dad will probably go to the police this evening anyways, so will see how this pans out. Will probably mean my brother changing college if anything.

beat the hell out of them

If only I could. Im not going to turn this into a keyboard warrior king rant but the last time we had a run in with these guys (when it was me and my mate who got mugged), my mates cousin got one of them back pretty bad. The following week my mate was beaten up really bad. They made a point of knocking off his turban and stamping and spitting on it.

My friend could just easily have gone back to his cousins and done something equally as worse but the situation is this - these trouble makers have got nothing better to do during the day (they didnt then and still dont now) and are always spoiling for a fight. Theyre the types to never back down even if theyve been beat down really badly before, they'll just keep coming back with more and more people like themselves if necessary. My mates cousins however are hard working and busy people. Absolutely solid when fighting yes, but when some idiot comes along who just doesnt know when to stop, what do you do, forego any hard work youve been putting into studies or running a business and go after the idiot?

In the end we just moved college because even I had to keep looking over my shoulder.

"Oi im a muslim, gis us your money and mobile!" - did it happen like that?

definitely go to the police and report the incident. they commited a crime an for that they should be brought to justice. its not your job to dish out the punishment so leave that to the law.

if youve lived and travelled you'll find that criminals will come from all sorts of backgrounds. my parents used to live quite near a council estate where the majority were white. never once did they report them to the police as "christian thieves/vandals" (even if they did wear the cross). Religions that ive studied dont preach this kind of behavior. theyre called 'sins' - and its down to the person whether they choose to act out this sin or not, its not the religion at fault so why mention it when describing an act of crime? does that make sense?

Phantom, thats a fair comment. The reason for the anger and focused hate is not just down to the fact that I was angry about my mum and dad neglecting to tell me until this morning, but also because the same two guys did the same to me and a friend when we were back at college. The stupidest thing is theyre the same age as me which is 26 and NOW theyre terrorising 17-18 year old colleges kids ffs!!! I mean come on, you got to draw the line somewhere???

Having just spoken to my dad over the phone about 5 mins ago, it looks like its going to be a visit to the cop shop. If the cops dont sort them out then I suppose we got no choice but to move him to a different college. Quite a number of people already left from there before Xmas because of tension thats been building up there since September, guess one more wont make a difference.
