Brothers New pc switching off when playing games

My Bro just got his pc form here yesterday ( friday) was the "Defender X6" AMD FX-6 6300 @ 4.1GHz Turbo AMD Radeon Six Core Gaming PC,
he installed Farming Simulator 2013 and the pc seemed to switch itself off after awhile, told him to check the power saving which he switched off but when he loaded the game up again the same thing happened. Could this be a gfx issue mayhap settings to high for the gpu, which is the Sapphire Radeon R7 260X OC 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card

I dont have all the details and he seem reluctant to post on the forum, but undoublty he will want me to check over his pc today so some ideas would be nice

Do you have a spare psu to test with? Thats the first thing i would suspect.

I'd go for over current/temp protection on the PSU or maybe the card/processor overheating.

Get him to run MSI afterburner or GPU-z and post a screenie

Not really, i would have thought that overclockers would have done some rigours testing and made sure that the psu was up to scratch especially since there was no option to change the psu in the build options.

Ah I'd assumed it was one of those motherboard CPU bundles etc, didn't realise it was a full system...

Monitor the temps and see what happens. Does it BSOD at all?

personally id try lower the oc and vcore slightly, should also monitor cpu and gpu to troubleshoot, as someone mentioned psu may also be at fault
