Hi,

Does anyone know of any browser based command line linux environments that can be used to learn how to use linux without having to install it?

I am currently working through codeacademy and thought that if something like Linux could be taught like this it would be great.

Hope that makes sense :)

Not really. I would either use a live CD for this (or USB) or, if you're worried about doing something to your system, use something like Virtualbox.

In all honesty the best way to learn how to use Linux is trial and error. If you're interested then it's little effort to devote say 20GB to a partition (or however you choose to do it), with which you can tinker to your heart's content ;)

Yeah id go for a full virtualisation way of learning - i know its not what you are asking for, but you can use Cygwin in Windows to use some of the Linux command functionality etc.
