browser windows question

when connect to the internet and go to , say- ocuk forums for instance and then maybe click on the link to ocuk and then a link to another site is there anyway to stop the browser opening multiple windows?
possibly a setting where it closes the window when a new one opens.

you can right click (open in new tab) don't know if this helps

Right click and choose an option.
Control+left click to open in a new tab.
Middle click for the same.

Look at your browser options to see if it is possible to override the default behaviour.

It's annoying that some websites force this new window policy and not let the user decide.

thanks mate. i didn`t know it was anything to do with the websites i just wrongly assumed it was down to browser settings or something.
