Does every one use firefox for a browser in linux ? if not what do you recommend please.

I can not stand firefox it's a pet hate with me my distro of ubuntu came with it installed which grind my teeth.

Recommandations please.

Firefox is the best!

Other than FF, try Opera or konqueror, but neither is as good as FF IMO.

Opera. It's not open source but Firefox has been total gash since 3.0 went beta and Opera is the only other sensible option IMO.

The Konq is quite nice, especially if you're running KDE.

It's too standards compliant for my liking, unfortunately. As much as I am pro-standards (being a developer myself) it is annoying to see so many pages not work in Konq for even simple things like the default form action etc.

I didn't realise Lynx had a predecessor, it's text based and has been around as long as I can remember. I've never heard of Links.
