Hi

as im looking to upgrade in the near future, i was pondering about the 3 that I will replace, CPU, RAM and motherboard

and im sure i that if I bought the dual Core DUO 1333 FSB rated CPU, i do not see any RAM that is rated to that speed or am i blind?

not blind, just interpreting data wrong.

The DDR2 ram is dual data rate, so has a real FSB speed of half that stated, where as the CPU is quad pumped, so 4x that of the real FSB speed.

I can see now :)

of course! its ddr2 but the shop should really list it one form or another

so 667's are the right ones

No! :p

Ignore the fact it's DDR2. What's important is the PC rating, i.e PC5300.

You need to divide the PC rating by 16 to get it's maximum rated speed in MHz.

For example.

PC3200 = 200MHz (400MHz effective).
PC5300 = 333MHz (666MHz effective).

And so on...
