Which is worth every penny IMO.
Couldn't justify the price personally - compared to what I get from other online services for the same price. Unless they significantly added original content or other features I couldn't personally justify paying more than about half the price.
You do also get Google Play Music with it which is £9.99 alone, obviously only if that's of any use to you. I use GPM in the car and at work a lot. I watch more Youtube than TV at home so both suit me very well.
On Android, I use YouTube Vanced which has background/windowed playback

Thanks guys. I see there's a free one month trial of youtube premium on the play store. I wouldn't have minded making a one off payment for it but it seems it's a monthly subscription so no way am I bothering with that.
I'm on the download page. It says
"For Non-Rooted Devices
Download YouTube Vanced APK if you have a Non-Rooted device. You will have to install additional MicroG package in order to be able login."
Will it tell me where to get the MicroG package?
Don't get me started. Recently bought a 12.9" iPad Pro and I end up using Vanced on my S8+ when I want to see videos because it is just 'better' by a mile for navigation etc...apart from clowncast recently being broke anyway!Yeah, Vanced is the only reason I am still on Android. I wanted to move to iOS, but Youtube++ is a faff. So, Android it is. (Well, EMUI, a close approximation to Android).

Officially, the only way is Youtube Premium. Which is worth every penny IMO.
