BBC said:
Former Manchester United and England captain Bryan Robson has undergone surgery for throat cancer.

Robson, 54, is currently coaching the Thailand national team and had the operation in Bangkok on 3 March.

"Bryan underwent an operation to remove a tumour from his throat," read a Manchester United statement.

"The laboratory report revealed a cancerous tumour, which will need further treatment. The oncologist is confident the condition is treatable."

Updated video with the guy himself here.

I never even realised, going by the fact there was no thread I'm guessing few others knew as well.

Hope he makes a full recovery.

I was aware of this, they caught it really early didn't they so there's a good chance he'll be okay :)

Cancer is a horrible thing.

I mentioned it in one of the bigger threads a few weeks back but I think it got lost in the middle of a rant.

Good luck Captain Marvel, my hero for many a year when I were a lad!

Over the cost / time of a flight - Im surprised anyone would choose to have that kind of op in Bankok

Great player and always appeared a truelly honorable person

Get well soon

I know that - but Bankok isnt renowned for ops of this nature (medical practices in general to be fair)

With something this serious I would have thought anyone would choose to have as good care as possible even if it isnt local :)
