Hey all,

Just came across this new Kickstarter campaign for a new iPad Keyboard and case, which make your iPad look a lot like a Macbook Air!

I've seen a lot of other designs and attempts at trying to make a decent keyboard/case for the iPad, but this is by far the best I've seen!

Very sleek, and looks very easy to use! :) One downside is the price - Currently at 180$ (With Speakers) + 35$ International Shipping :(

I'm starting to really love Kickstarter - A lot of great ideas from new inventors are coming through, and it can only get better in my opinion :)

Thoughts? :)

For that price, no thanks.

Adds weight, bulk... The logitech keyboard case is expensive but still a lot cheaper than that! Yes it doesn't look as nice and no speaker built in but still.

Just to clarify, the price is $150, which would work out just above £100 compared to the £90 of the Logitech Keyboard Case. You do get slightly more practicality with it too.

Would I buy one if I had an iPad though? Completely depends on how good the keyboard itself is.

It's meant to look like the Macbook design, I think that's the whole thought process over this item :p I don't think it looks like a cheap knock off, but each to their own I guess...

Nevertheless, I think it's a little too expensive for my liking...

I saw this yesterday and initially thought it was awesome, then I saw bigger pictures and it just looks so cheap and horrible. Like if some Chinese knock off of a Macbook came out, this is what it would look like
 
If you don't like this, I think it's probably because you don't like any keyboard on an iPad - I've not seen it been done any better than this...
 
I actually do like the option of a keyboard with an iPad

I'm still desperate for them to get the official keyboard dock working with iOS5 and the new iPad. That's still the best looking one. Simple yet a good, proven design

I can't argue with that - It's definitely one of the best keyboards I've used :)
 
Like it or hate it, it won't be out until October! you might only have 5 months use out of it.

You are taking a huge risk that the iPad 2013 will keep the same form factor otherwise you are having to wait for them to make a new one and paying over again.

I love the look of it myself /shrug.
