Well i made the short trip up to brands hatch to watch the final round, i managed to take around 450-500 pics in all with not much success! Bikes are so much harder to shoot than cars!
So here we are with a pick of what i think are some of my better ones, c+c much appriciated on them and the processing.

The first two were manually focussed as the fence was driving the a.i servo mad

2, 4, 7 and 8 are my favourite.

Really like all of these :) I'm a big fan of motorbike racing and I know how hard it can be to take these kinds of pictures.

Well done on them all :) some are a little bright for me, but part from that, superb :)

Number one is great - but there is far too much blur around the subjects for it to be great - it hurts my eyes!

Personally, I would turn that image into a panoramic, as you are eliminating a lot of the blur but also keeping in the action! I think that would look really great as a panoramic.

WOW you did far better than I did at Donnington park, looks like you got a great vantage point and perfect weather conditions for the event! My fav is the ducati! He's looking straight into your lens! A shame it wasnt the local legend Haslam though :)

Yes the vantage point was great, mainly because i climbed a tree at clearways to get above the crowds and fence! I think thats why lavilla was looking straight at me, probably thinking nutter!
Thanks to all for the comments.

Did 91 in photo 4 fall off ?

Leon Haslam that is, I didnt watch the race live just looked on the BSB website to confirm my thoughts...

"Haslam, who finished these races fourth and fifth, took third place overall, 387-368, over Lavilla."

Brilliant! as a begginer could you please tell me what lens and what settings you shot these at? thanks, Great pics!

Certainly, all shot using a canon 350d + 80-200 f4.5-5.6. Camera was in shutter priority mode, iso 200, shot between 1/125th and 1/250th.

I wish i'd managed to convince my friend to lend me his 'bigma' 50-500!

Thanks all.
