BSD Router Project (BSDRP)

I considered it a few years ago, but I ended up just building my own (BSD base, adding the appropriate packages, writing the configs by hand). It's matured quite nicely, and is more a router that can firewall, than a firewall that can route (think VyOS as opposed to *sense). That said, IPFW is very logical and sane, and has excellent throughput - multiples faster than pf. I default to IPFW on FreeBSD servers, only using OpenBSD and pf for hardened lower bandwidth stuff (e.g. DNS, comms, proxies). If you try it out, do report back. I'd be interested to hear your experiences.
