So the mouse stopped responding immediately after I plugged my phone in via USB but the system was still responding to keyboard input etcetera. When I hit ctrl+alt+del there was a pause, then the screen went black, then it BSOD'd on me with the code 0x7F.

Does anyone know what the cause of this BSOD is?

My PC had been on for 9 days straight and had been used for many different things including gaming, video editing, photo editing, watching 1080P video, downloading and folding if that makes any difference.

The only software change that had been made in that time was that I re-installed my graphics drivers without re-starting.

Cheers :)

From here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/137539

Low-level hardware corruption, such as corrupt memory (RAM)
Mismatched memory modules
A malfunctioning motherboard

Perhaps the plugging in of the phone caused a momentary instability on the motherboard.

Ah ok. Well my motherboard has a few bits and pieces wrong with it, and the warranty is void. It's the main reason I leave my PC on all the time, for fear that it wont turn on properly :p

If its related to that, then I suppose thats ok. I have every intention of replacing the board when I have the funds, dont worry :)

Thanks :D
