Anyone Help me with finding the root cause of this problem, Vista 64 after about 36 hours of continuous use on a new build, it Blue Screens, reboots and then my USB network adaptor driver doesnt work. Microsoft Vista 64 help centre has no advice after reporting. There doesnt seem to be any reason why this is happening as its happened why ive not been using it. Please help me find the cause.

Im at work at the moment, it blue screens so quickly i couldnt tell you, should i paste the info from the reporting log, when i get back home or any info from another source?

you can set the bios to not re-start on BSOD. You then have time to read the BSOD info and write the info down... Had to do this on my laptop to find out which driver was borking the thing.. turned out to be a patheticly crap belkin driver.

Ok after not doing it for a week ive come home to it restarting today here is the windows error log, can someone decypher for me

send me your mini dump file and i will examin it and get back to you with the file thats causeing the problem. email me the file in my trust.

Might be unrelated but Vista has issues with more than one network adapter. Are you using your Lan or Hamachi at the same time as the USB one? If I have hamachi enabled it seems to cause my net to stop working and I have to unplug the network cable to get it to sort itself out. Friend of mine has the DS4 and had the same problem too.

Virus2k, when i get back from work ill take you up on your offer, and fobose no i only have the 3com usb adapter attached.

Is it a belkin network adapter? Mine too caused periodiic bluescreens, though they were more random. In the end, I just got a wireless PCI card.

This was only on Vista-32 though.

check here : http://support.microsoft.com/search...ID=2057&spid=&qryWt=&mode=r&cus=False&x=0&y=0

go to your advanced system properties
startup and recovery settings tab

untick automaticly restart and select kernel memory dump instead of mini dump.

then apply. then once you get the bluescreen again you will be able to see the full stop error

write it down then reboot your system and then find the kernel dump file in your windows system directory.. also write down the stop error in this thread.

ill keep a look out for more information as it hits me.
