I bought the PC linked below. I was asked to do a BIOS upgrade to solve a boot problem, well now Win 7 BSOD on the startup page!! I know OC will help but they don't work Sunday afternoon, so wonder if you guys have any suggestions.

I have a ASUS P67A-GD53. OC told me ot updrage from E7681IMS V1.10 to E7681IMS V1.1E. Also tried V1.1D and C with no joy. Using the system defualt or OC setting doesn't help. The BSOD flashes to quickly to be readable. Any ideas?

Check the SATA controller setting in the BIOS, if its on IDE the switch to AHCI, if its on AHCI then try IDE.

Try loading "default values" in the BIOS.

Did ocuk install W7 on your ssd?

If so there is a good chance they changed to AHCI first, so as stulid said, check settings in bios.

You will still have to get in contact with ocuk anyway to retrieve the overclocked profile. (will be deleted when you updated bios)

Thanks guys you were right. OCUK installed Win 7 and changing the SATA controller to AHCI fixed it. (Using new pc to write this :p)

They told me to note down all the overclocking settings (I've put them back) but didn't mention the SATA controller.

Now, lets hope this BIOS upgrade solves the original problem we were trying to fix!
