Folks,

Bit of a strange one :(

Im ocassionally, with some games, Sup-Com, Empire Earth 3 Alpha, World in Conflict getting a bluescreen stating:

"a clock interrupt was not recieved on a secondary processor within the allocated interval"

now obviously, i've done a bit of googling, but I cant seem to see anyone else with the same problem, and searching on the forums didnt yeild anything either.

Some background;

CPU is watercooled, I've 2x 120mm fans blowing through the case, and HD2900 exhausts obviously; I dont think the temps are a major problem;

Log from speedfan shortly before it crashed:
CPU: 25.0
PWM: 49.0
Chipset: 47.0
Core0: 28.0
Vcore0: 1.33
Vcore1: 1.18 <--- this is different to vcore0??
3.3v: 3.26
5v: 5.03
12v: 12.03

Now; the silly thing... this box is 18hrs+ Orthos stable. I did wonder about the GFX, but its at stock. I dont think its a driver problem, but obviously I cant be sure about that. I've certainly changed gfx drivers around, might go see about the chipset ones.

so, my leads are:

Possible Driver issue?
Vcore1 being low?
Chipset is getting too warm? - It sits below my GFX card; and its only happened since I put the HD2900XT in.

The clock is a modest 2.5ghz, I can get it windows stable at 2.7, but i've not tried pushing further, I decreased the clock when the first of these crashes occured.

Any hints at all to push me in the right direction folks?

Edit: PSU not specced in Sig - its an Enermax Infiniti 720w

Have you tried disabling multi-core support in game, or setting the affinity of the process to only the first core?

I haven't; good idea :D

I did run 3dmark & orthos all night though; and it was beautifully stable :rolleyes:
