Installed vista on my new build, it gets through POST and gets to the windows loading screen, and the second it dissapears i get a BSOD, so fast that i cant read it before it restarts.

I've reinstalled twice now thinking it was an installation problem but aparantly not.

Any suggestions? No chance i can get to the desktop

What is your voltage set to, and your timings, I had to slacken mine from 4-4-4-12 to 5-5-5-15. (Geil RAM)

Try manualy settings the timings to 5-5-5-15 add the 4gig and see what happens, it may be case of trial and error.

What Corsairs have you got!
They should have a sticker stating the recommended voltage.

Dominator 8500

Tried them at 5-5-5-15 and same BSOD (2.2v)
Tried them at 6-6-6-16 and same BSOD (2.2v)
Tried them at 7-7-7-18 and same BSOD (2.2v)

Not going so well for me, i even tried lowering the FSB and still BSOD..

But it boots perfectly with only two sticks in

Had a google and the first thing I found mentioned that the striker does not support 800mhz with 4 sticks, only 667mhz. Search this: ASUS Striker Extreme 4gb Dominator 8500
