BSOD error on Laptop

Hi guys

I was doing a defrag on my laptop hdd earlier and came into see it had blue screened. This laptop is notorious for overheating and it was very hot. I revolted and went on fine only to encounter the same error again

I'm happy to wipe and install Win7 again but I have about 200gn of data I need to copy and everytime I do so I get blue screened.

This also occurs in safe mode

Memory, drivers? give memtest a run on the laptop

ataport.sys BSODs are, more often than not, caused by failing hard disks. Get your stuff backed up ASAP.
