Hi
I was hoping someone could help with the problem i am having with my pc,i keep getting these BSOD errors when i play BF3 online,system specs are...

This game really does not like Antivirus software. I use Bitdefender, and with that active I cannot play BF3, I know also that AVG causes massive issues with it, so it stands to reason that a good place to start is, as RevBillyG states, with Norton.
 
Thanks for the reply,norton is on my pc but it is not active as it was pre installed on the pc for a trial,once the 3 month trial was over i never upgraded to a new membership ,i have played bf3 since the launch with no problems so why would it cause problems now?all these bsod crashes have different codes and reasons, you would think if it was norton they would all be the same,i have had say 10 crashes all with different driver errors or system errors,what can cause this.

Doesn't matter that it's not "active". It hooks into sys DLLs. It's worse than most viruses imo.

It's a complete arse to remove, and if it were my PC, I'd simply re-install Windows rather than faff around with the Norton Removal Tool.

Either uninstall (if it lets you) or do a Winstall, and use Microsoft Security Essentials instead.

Using a 68** card at 1080x760 should be illegal, get yourself a nice new monitor :p
 
i run bf3 at 1080x1020 though,i changed the ram with new gskill ram,so that rules that out,can it be gpu,psu cpu .its back in the shop for repair they charged me £50 to check the pc and install the new ram,i told them beforehand it wasnt the ram as i previously had 8 gb in and swapped it for a different 4gb i had in the house,any other ideas guys.
