BSOD Hell

Hi all.
At breaking point at the moment

Recently my PC started to BSOD often, so I figured as I had faffed about with many revisions of the ATI driver to get Mantle working, a full rebuild would do. Windows 7 was installed, but even in a vanilla state, the BSOD kept happening.

So far I have:
Ran Memtest86, memory passed
Swapped out my Radeon 7870 for an old working 4890
Changed boot SSD to an alternative SSD
Loading Optimized defaults in BIOS
Loading Failsafe defaults in BIOD

I considered overheating, but this can happen with the CPU at 38C.
The symptoms are odd. Sometimes screen corruption, others during a BSOD I only get partial errors, so there is no full complete dump
If I do manage to get into Windows, and try to 'Shutdown', the machine says shutting down, then turns straight off, which I've not seen before.

The only thing I can see thats strange from before, is in HWMonitor (which I know is not 100% accurate, but used to be reliable for me) is showing VIN5 going from 1.8 to 2.7.

Specs below:

AMD Phenom II x4 965 BE
Gigabyte GA-MA770T-UD3P
8GB Samsung DDR3
Samsung EVO 250GB SSD (Boot drive)
SuperFlower 80+ 750 PSU

I work in IT, but am stuck at the moment

BIOS defaults also clearing any CPU overclock yes?

Yup. CPU used to be @ 3800 1.47v
So I reset to default, but continued to get the BSOD, so went back to 1.47 as I know under volatge can cause BSODs, and it ran fine on 1.47 for a long time. All other settings are standard/defaults.
Forgot to say I've ran a full virus scan and Malwarebytes scan on all attached drives, clean.

I've ordered a new CPU (Intel) and Mobo. The only worry is that this could be a PSU issue. That said, the SuperFlower is only 2/3 months old, and I can run in a non Windows environment with no crashes, but could it still be the PSU?. Is there any part of say memtest OS (I assume DOS?) that would not utilize all of the PSUs power/voltages?

I hope that made sense...

This gets more strange (if anyone's still reading)

Both sticks of memory passed memtest86, but I thought I would run the machine on single sticks just to see if it could be the slots on the mobo or something else. With either stick in DDR3_1 (first slot), it runs fine, no crashes?.

So, would running memtest86 with the memory in the potential bas slot pull errors?. And, if a memory controller issue, can that be only one slot, ie DDR3_2?

The last thing I noticed which seems bizarre. Temps are now 30C, which for my machine is unheard of, it normally runs 45C idle, and 55-58 under stress, 30C is just bonkers, just with one memory slot populated?

/pulling hair out

What BCCodes are you getting from the BSODs? Or are they all partial errors as you mentioned?

Very random, 1A, 1E etc.
Starting to think this may be a memory controller issue, as both sticks are not faulty, they pass memtest86, yet in single channel mode, no crashes. But I'm slightly nonplussed why this would cause a 15C increase/decrease. I don't know anything about the AM3 Memory controller so I'm just poking around in the dark on that one. I did read there is a problem with the AM3 Memory controller, but only if you run memory at 1666. This little chap has been at 3.8 (19 multiplier) for some time, maybe that and the voltage I've needed (1.475) has cuffed the CPU's Dual channel function?.

I have a motherboard that causes me BSOD issues. I have replaced every component and it's just the same. So a motherboard fault is certainly possible!

Well something's buggered, so I've ordered:
