Hi the guys I just had BSOD message "whea_uncorrectable_error". it freezes and restarts until i turn it off. Does anyone know what could it be and how to fix it. Firstly I did reset my mobo to defaults but it still happens when I'm gaming.

My specs are:
I7 4770k
MSI z87 gd65
G.skill 2x4gb 2133mhz
EVGA GTX 780 SC ACX
Corsair h100i
Corsair AX760 psu
Cooler master storm trooper case
Samsung EVO 120gb

I was running it at 4.2 at 1.15v for months and no problems with temps blue screen just today it started to happen. I will download bluescreen viewer. Be right back. Also my bios is version 1.5 never update it.

I'd try going to stock on the over clock just for the diagnostics so to say. It likely won't be that as it has been stable for months, but can't hurt to try :). You could save your settings in a BIOS profile so you don't loose the overclock settings

I'd also try a BIOS update, but be careful and follow steps carefully because from what I heard on the forum the MSI BIOS flashing utility isn't too good

I know and this is why I was always hold back for bios update. I also notice when Im in bios I get debug code 66. Now I just running heaven and prime at same time and monitoring voltages with multimeter.

From the error it sounds like Windows 8/8.1. Do you use Core Temp?

I used it to monitor temps when I was overclocking but not since as I linked aquaero 6 pro to shut down pc if exceeds 80 Celsius degree

I had this a few months ago and it was related to my CPU clock speeds fluctuating between boost and normal. Voltages were going up and down too. My advice would be to find a good starters guide to overclocking your board and create your own overclock. Also find the settings on your board that like to adjust clock speeds and voltages and force them to be one unchangeable rate. Whenever I use my OCUK overclock profile I get this error but using Tiny Tom Logan's overclocking guide I was able to get a much lower voltage stable running 4.4Ghz and no more whea_uncorrectable_error by turning some of the auto options to manual.

Here is the vid its for a Z77 but I think most of it will apply to a Z87 though i'm not sure.

To be honest though I would either raise the voltage by slight increments or lower your clock speed small amounts and see if the error goes away.

Certain versions of Coretemp causes Windows 8.1 64 bit to produce that error because its got a damn memory leak.

Took me ages to figure it out.

Dont use it at all now as I have other software eg NZXT CAM, Afterburner.

I've analyzed the debug but its not brilliant as it needs updating for Windows 8 but it points to an Intel Win8 driver.

First thing if its still installed remove coretemp.
Then update all your drivers including Intel Chipset and Intel Management Engine.

Okay I will update my Samsung EVO 120gb ssd as it has performance issue and then I will format my computer and do fresh install. Thank you for your help
