My pc has recently blue screened 4times the past week, everytime i have been watching a movie on vlc media player (coincidence?)
I have been playing games fine but it just BSOD 2x while trying to watch a movie within the last 3 hours

I havent installed any new hardware or software, temps all seem normal.
My pc has never been overclocked as i never got around to doing it yet.

I need to fix this asap so can people please give me a list of programs & methods to narrow this down, everythings under warranty so i dont want to damage anything by negligence :)

EDIT - went into bios changed ram profile automatic > XMP Profile 1600 - This raised ram/qpi voltage from 1.55-> 1.66 and timers from 7-7-7-7-20? to much higher ones like 8-8-8-24
I then booted and my os failed to recognise my USB mouse and it looked like i was getting dead pixels on my monitor but im guessing that was ram/os?

Restarted and it recognised my mouse but there were more dead pixels(lookalikes) and it then failed to load into os correctly

Now loaded into OS with XMP settings 8-8-8-24 as advertised for my ram so going to do a memtest 86 run now

Download and run memtest 86. As BSOD's can be down to dodgy ram, this has happend to me recently. It started off during games and then moved to being trigged while web browsing.

Set xmp profile 1600 so ram was at default/correct settings and voltage

Memtest 86 passed fine with no errors.

What next? wait to see if i get another BSOD or can you give me some more stress test programs to rule out cpu/gpu/psu/mobo?

Just after posting above my computer froze, mouse/keyboard stopped working and screen just displayed ocuk webpage

Think it could be the graphics card? im doubtful however as i had been playing games fine and think its odd it would be crashing over browsing?

If you go to the Computer Icon, right click and choose properties -> advanced settings -> advanced tab -> Startup and recovery -> In the System Recovery untick Automatically restart.

This will then stop at the BSOD so that you can see what it says and report back if it is a driver issue it will say something about IRQL_LESS_THAN_ZERO.

grrrr :@ bashing my head atm. (Not liking idea of not being able to run my ram at speed of XMP profile) tried putting voltage from 1.65 > 1.70 still failed)

I tried to boot and it would get to loading bar/os screen and then instantly restart but the power would still be cycling ie just screen flash and start loading through bios.

I was stuck in a loop for 5boots and went into bios and changed ram setting from XMP > Automatic and it then enabled me to boot

Think i could have a dodgy motherboard as memtest said my ram was fine at xmp profile setting?

I then tried prime95 blend test and ran fine for an hour without problems
