comes up when I boot up. Safe start or whatever it is doesn't work :confused:

any suggestions.

I ran avz4 which suggested I deleted some files one was a dll anyhoo now what :eek:

can you give us more information please:

what are you computer specs (hardware, operating system)
was your computer running ok before you ran your virus scanner?
did the bsod appear right after you rebooted after cleaning viruses with avz4?
do you have the windows installation disk so that you can use Recovery Console?

I would suggest unplugging as many devices as possible (usb, firewire etc) and trying to boot in case it is a dodgy driver (the most frequent cause of blue screens)

In computer specs then, we need the Dell model number. (assuming it's Dell, judging by your photograph)
