Hi,

Just got my RMA'd OCZ RAM. Ran Prime blend for a couple of hours fine.
Was going onto BC2 with Fraps on. Click the help button on fraps (As my FPS doesnt surpass 60) Then i got the dreaded BSOD.

Did a restart, 30seconds later BSOD. So i entered safe mode removed Fraps. Went back to normal mode. Now Norton Antivirus has been turned off, cant turn it back on :/ Tried to do a virus check but got BSOD while in the scan.
This time when i restarted i did a windows solution check and it says its the Catalyst software...

So now i cant turn on my AV and i keep getting BSOD. Where do i go from here?

I could boot up using a different Hard drive, and see if its a software problem...
I did update to the newest itunes, 2 hours b4 the crash..

So if its fine with the new HDD tht rules out tht i need to RMA the RAM again!
(I will never buy OCZ RAM again!)

A good three or four hours at least, overnight if possible. Make sure you download the latest version from the official site. I built a new PC last weekend and was dismayed when Memtest86 rebooted after a few seconds. I thought my RAM or the motherboard was faulty, but it turned out I just needed the latest Memtest86 release.

ahhh cool..the latest one says that it doesnt test 4GB+
So im testing 2GB atm theen ill test the other one in 4 hours or somethin

1st Ram i put in passed 7 times in 3 hours no errors.
Put the 2nd Ram in and this appears

Uploaded with ImageShack.us
ANOTHER RMA???
Im tempted just to cut my losses and by some new RAM and be done with this stupid OCZ crap

Funnily enough the only RAM I've had errors with was OCZ. After that I went with Crucial, and recently with g.skill and not had any problems since.

That second stick doesn't look happy.

Is it in the the slot in the motherboard which you tested the first in?

(I'll also flail around like a mad man defending OCZ, I've never had an issue with their memory. Crucial on the other hand... :p.)

Yeah, i tested the 1st RAM in the 1st slot.
Tested the other module in the 2nd slot, failed in that slot.
Moved it to the 1st slot to make sure it wasn't the DIMM slot but failed again.

'OCZ products are 100% hand tested.....' This must be a complete lie as this is the 2nd time ive had a 'dead' module.
