Hello all

Got a bsod on vista machine, technical info shown says: stop: 0x00000101.
But further up the screen it says: A clock interrupt was not received on a secondary processor within the allocated time interval.
Would this be a fault on the amd am2 dual core type CPU? Or could it still be another piece of hardware causing the bsod. The bsod still occurs after a re-install of vista.

Please help !

Thanks

Is your CPU overclocked at all? if so, try reducing the clock speed a little, you maybe pushing it too far, either that or its a motherboard fault, its transport bus is having an issue with speed or data flow. If your no OC then it could be a power related issue.

Hi guys,

I've checked the bios etc, nothing is overclocked. I've got the pc running for a while, but when i open a program it just bsod's. Like mentioned i'm now thinking it's the cpu, guess i'm best off returning it under guarantee.
I bought it from OcUk, i've not got the box for it even though it was retail not sure about receipt either though i could go back into my account for past purchases. Can i still send it back?

Thanks

Power supply seems fine, and it's a 600w zalman. Mobo is a Gigabyte, but how would i test that? Processor is a AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 6000+ 3.00GHz (Socket AM2). Again how's best to test, other than process of elimination? As my problem is i don't have any spares to swap with to try.

Any idea's please?

Cheers
