BSOD issue on RO2 and now BF3 beta?

If you want instant results you can use Furmark but I warn you - this will make your card EXTREMELY HOT EXTREMELY QUICKLY. It's a Graphics card test program that makes it work at 100% for as long as it's running.

One thing at a time

If it does crash, you won't know if its because its overheated or because the memory test has failed.

You need to elimate the overheating problem first. That way, if memtest does fail you know its DEFINITELY because the RAM Is at fault. You could fail memtest, decide you need new RAM, only then to find it still reboots because its overheating.

So what should i do then? the only thing thats overheating is the GPU. dont think its posisble for RAM to overheat? especially in such a large case with great airflow.

i cant eliminate the overheating without spending money on. this is why someone else said that it best to test all components before going out and buying new coolers and all that. for all i know, my win 7 and/or gpu drivers were screwed before and resulted on BSOD on demanding games.

i have been playing games extensively with no BSOD before at 90c+ temps.

Like i said earlier

Take the case side off, open a window, and get a desk fan going in the room.

That should get the temps down. If it still crashes after you've done that. You know to start looking elsewhere.

so far running an xtreme burn test on kombustor for about 20mins so far and my gpu teps have not gone above 78c. i have tweaked the fan profile so when its over 75c, the fan speeds around 80%, when it reaches near 90c i make it spin 100%.

will let it run for a few hours. runing full 1080p res screen, dx11 and AA/AF 8x. is this the max load this kombustor app can do?
