Hey guys,

For some reason i keep getting problems with my machine and i cant work out whats wrong.
Sometimes in Battlefield 3 it will either crash,With a grey screen and white lines down it to the desktop,Or completely blue screen on me and the system restarts.

But...its not every time i play BF3,Just played 2 rounds with no hiccups whatsoever.

Then i went on YouTube,Started to watch a vid and just got a BSOD.

This is what Event viewer tells me just before the crash.

From screenshot 2,Im thinking that my cpu overclock might not be as stable as i thought?..but hours in Prime95 64bit its stable.

Appreciate any help! :)

on past systems i have had prime stable for hours only for when i fire up a game i got a bsod

remove or lower your overclock first and see how it goes

Exactly the same here. Not necessarily all games either - I remember gaming for a year, then I played The Old Republic and it would BSOD my PC every few hours.

Removing the clock would be my first starting point.

What code are you getting on the bsod?

Not sure what the code was,It went off so bloody fast. :p

But i have scrapped those previous 3.8Ghz overclock settings now and re-overclocked except this time im going to settle at 3.6Ghz because my CPU got quite toasty at 3.8 using 1.36 something volts..like 74c in prime and was throttling.

This is now my new overclock,Runs much cooler i think 62c max was the temps i was getting around while prime 95
Prime 95 stable and has not crashed once since in BF3 and also playing Dead space last night.
