Ordered this about 6 weeks ago.. http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FS-063-OE&groupid=43&catid=1270&subcat= I get the BSOD on a very regular basis. At first I thought it was a software issueas it tended to crash when I was encoding avi files using ConvertXtoDVD. However, it now BSOD's when it isn't on either. The main error message I get is STOP 0x00000050 or PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA, although I get different error message, this is the most common. The BSOD will tell me to check the video adapter and the memory. I have tried different drivers for the graphics etc but still crashes. It also tells me to try disabling caching/shadowing in the Bios. The machinew is overclocked, so if I do that will it effect the overclocking? Also, ran a few system utilities and they came back that the memory is grand.Any ideas what to do? Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Not really. Seen the error pages and it seems to be telling me to check the RAM, although tests come back to say they're fine. How do you disable the caching in the BIOS? Looked but couldn't find the option. Would disabling it affect the overclocking?

Just started Prime95 a few minutes before you posted. All of a sudden the system reset without BSOD. Will try the links above and report back.Cheers.

what temps you getting??? you able to even get to the point where you can see a log of temps in say the past few mins...even up to the point it BSOD's?

Think I know now what it is. The PC is kept in a wooden cabinet behind two small doors with little room at the back. When checking temps with CPUID I was getting high 70's!!! Turned PC off for 20 minutes, took it out of the cupboard and it's sitting now at late 40's - early 50's. Still quiet high as I've only Firefox,Utorrent and AVG running. Have 1 case fan so am going to order another one this week. Any recommendations what one to get?

Before you order anything try running the pc sitting out in the open with no nearby airflow obstructions and see if it crashes... 70*C isn't enough to crash that machine under load (unless you mean idle temps?)

Let us know how it goes

Unlike Intel AMD doesn't have sensors in hot spots of cores but just one generic sensor so actual core temperatures can be considerably higher.
This is one of the few reviews with mention about temperature... and stock cooler being not good for overclocking

Also with only one case fan overall cooling is surely on really low end...

So you can effectively be left guessing with regards to the actual temperature... Will be interesting to see what happens when the OP tries running it with a decent unobstructed airflow.

Right....moved Pc into middle of the floor well away from obstructions. Ran Prime95. Within a few minutes the temp rose to 80c and the PC immediately restarted. This has happened on various occasions. Always gets to 80c then resets. Idle is sitting at 56c at present.Any ideas now?

Could there be an overheating emergency shutdown temperature in bios set to 80°C?
