Have just installed Sim City today, and on 3 consequitive games I have got a BSOD.

I have no idea why this is, as I am not getting issues on any other games.

I have both dump files and sysdata file, but do not know how to post them here.

I have pasted the following out, as I think it might be relevent:

Mini Kernel Dump File: Only registers and stack trace are available

Symbol search path is: *** Invalid ***
****************************************************************************
* Symbol loading may be unreliable without a symbol search path. *
* Use .symfix to have the debugger choose a symbol path. *
* After setting your symbol path, use .reload to refresh symbol locations. *
****************************************************************************
Executable search path is:
*********************************************************************
* Symbols can not be loaded because symbol path is not initialized. *
* *
* The Symbol Path can be set by: *
* using the _NT_SYMBOL_PATH environment variable. *
* using the -y <symbol_path> argument when starting the debugger. *
* using .sympath and .sympath+ *
*********************************************************************

Asked here as trust advice, Sim City forum full of anti DRM abuse. When you say all drivers - apart from GPU and sound - what else is needed. I ask as some web lins suggest rhis could be a HD issue - seems strange if only 1 game causes it though.

The most obvious error i pulled from this report is
'Unable to load image \SystemRoot\system32\ntoskrnl.exe, Win32 error 0n2,

Any help appreciated.

SimCity is so buggy that sales have been suspended and Amazon is even giving refunds.
Either ask for your money back, or hold fast until some patches get released.
You could try a reinstall and see if that helps, but I think there are significant problems with SimCityat present...

Your reply i appreciated, but most of the many issues reported are connection not so much errors like this (believe me I have spent ages checking). Although agree it seems odd just this software is giving issue.

Which the error report i was just wondering if there was something specific i should ne looking for.

Have seen various tips such as running a memory test, Hard disk test and W7 repair. I guess I need to look for memtest links ?. How do i check my HD .?
