BSOD R9 290

Since fitting the R9 290 using 14.1 drivers, I have had the blue screen of death numerous times. Has anyone else had this issue? The only parts changed since having this issue were the graphics card and ram. I installed my older ram and the issue is still there. Note that the computer seems totally stable so far whilst gaming and benchmarking. I am able to run Prime 95 & Unigine Valley in extreme HD mode at the same time seemingly without issue. The problem seems to only happen when I open youtube and skip the video or open HWinfo when it starts reading the sensors.

I thought it may have been a PSU issue, but I'm not too sure as at full load there seems to be no issue at all?

A little search on the internet shows possible issues with drivers and lower state voltage settings on the card possibly being incorrect?

try with the next driver down 13. something

could be hardware acceleration if it only crashes in youtube/web browsing,set the power control to 20% in ccc/overdrive

I am beginning to have this problem with my 290, but began pre mantle drivers as well. I think it is linked to playing youtube videos and there appears to be a fix here.

I have the same issue - but also get blue screens when playing BF4
MSI twin FROZR R9 290 + 2600k. probly becuse bf4 has the web browser in the background.

I get this on drivers 13.2 and 14.1

Im running at stock speeds, and havnt had a blue sceen in the two years previous when using my 6970's, so I know my 2600k is rock solifd.
