BSOD! RX580 radeon settings also reset to default!

hi

i had issues with fan curves recent and i finally thought i had it sorted out but now im crashing while playing a game which happens to be ARK and the only game i play that takes my temps of my gpu to 68c, im up-to-date with my drivers for my RX580 with adrenlin.

Every time i crash i see a little message saying radeon settings have reset to default which turns off fans with that stupid Zero rpm.

everytime i have crashed with BSOD i have had firefox opened in the background which i dont see can be the cause!

huge thanks for any help as this seams to be one thing after another

If BSOD only occurs when you have Firefox open, check your RAM and anything memory related.

A long time ago I had similar issue, but with Chrome instead, bluescreen that occurs only when it's open, turns out the issue was a bad RAM stick.

thanks, yeah i will do a memtest because i wasnt even playing a game and boom blue screen while watching a youtube vid in firefox

just coming on to this site i got blue screen

memtest came up with passes, so i have no idea now. but if its the psu like you say please is there one i could buy from OC which would be better?

removing the GPU and say running Ark or Unigine valley ( on iGPU) , check to see if it doesn't blue screen .

did you use DDU before installing your RX card and what brand was in before it > (nvidia/amd)

thanks yeah ive managed to borrow a rx5804gb and i have just put it in my machine to test.

but i was getting blue screens so bad in the last few hours even as soon as i hit desktop or at the windows login it was terrible ive never seen anything like it

since i put this other 4bg card in so far i have no blue screens at all and all feels smooth, i only bought my 580,8gb from OCUK in august last year

i carry on using this other card over weekend and then i guess i should put in a ticket to oc for returns etc, i was about to send the graphics card back in jan due to crashes etc but everyone pointed me to the fan curve issue and the zerorpm turning off fans and now i wish i had sent it back because its got so much worse.

thanks for letting me know to try another gpu.

take some pictures to show as proof that you've used a different card and issues you get, plus send link to this page .

hopefully OCUK will out the RMA directly as Powercolor isnt UK RMA based

thanks for the help, after near a month they finally sent me a new card which is great but now that i have put the card in and took out the 580 i borrowed which i used for a month or so it never really went above 45% and this is back upto 72% lol and i just hope i got the right fan speed set for it and 72% seams high.

jee this card is complex i should just sell it and get myself a Radeon RX 580 4GB NITRO+.which is exact same almost just dropping from 8gb to 4gb, but playing ark and it just went up as high as 81c what the

Almost a month ! Why I quote gigabyte . Sometimes not the cheapest , or best but shouldn't have that much of a turn around. Nitro+ could be a good shout !

yeah sent it back to OCUK, took em a few weeks to tell me it was broke and then had to wait while they sent it back to powercooler company

but the nitro ive been using as been great and low temps too, but now with replacement card my fans are loud and temps are getting high playing games

i cant win these days lol was more simple with the 280x etc
