BSOD - tested new conroe

hmm, had my first BSOD on new system - an IRQ not less than equal - then dump of physical memory, and thats after totaly reinstall today lol

according to events, and microsoft, apparently a KERNELcrash log or something

Ran prime for 5 minutes, and speedfan says 42 for case, CPU 35 ish, and 'temp 3' at 119. Now I have read this might be an error, as if you lower 'speed 3' to below 37, temp 3 goes to '6'.... ??

wonder what may cause the BSOD....should I run prime for like 8 hours solid or something?

5mins isnt a reliable test. Make sure you use dual prime with one on each core. 12hrs test as well

Were you giving the ram 2.1v? Mine needs the extra voltage to run @ 800Mhz 4-4-4-12 stable.

nope running at stock 667, 4,4,4,12 - relaxed it to 5,5,5,12 - and bought the CPU down to 2.8....

seems ok at present, haven't stressed it much though - well 20 minutes of high res oblivion seemed ok
