I have recently started to get some funny crashes when I finish a game, specially online games, as soon as a game is finished and I get the status screen I get the blue screen.

Code:
A corrected hardware error has occurred.

Component: PCI Express Root Port
Error Source: Advanced Error Reporting (PCI Express)

Bus:Device:Function: 0x0:0x3:0x0
Vendor ID:Device ID: 0x8086:0x2f08
Class Code: 0x30400

Looking at the logs and what not looks like a graphics issue but I would like to check. Every time I run a graphics program I get 1000000's of lines in my event viewer with the error above

The MOBO X99S SLI PLUS:

I have updated the BIOS to latest version 1.80 via the MSI Live Update. I am using an older card a GTX 660. Funny thing is Live Update states that the VGA BIOS is MH-V287 version NV287MA.222 however the latest version according to the MSI Live Update is NV287MS.204.

I have found this on the net but doesn't seem to help:

No idea what triggered this madness, system was stable without any issues. If I remember correct it all started after updating the NVIDIA drivers to 353.30 from 350.12

Last resort is a reinstall but I was hoping that I can manage this issue. Any help is much appreciated.

Tried another card if possible? I would see if I could reflash the latest bios on the card too...

So I re-updated all drivers from MSI including chipset drivers. I went in the BIOS and changed the PCIE to Next Gen 2 as on Auto or Gen3 issue was still persistent. I have also changed the PCI Latency from 32 to 248.

I haven't seen the error anymore. But I did change 3 variables so no idea which one fixed it. I am inclined to say the latency...

It would be great if someone could confirm what is the latest VBIOS: NV287MA.222 or NV287MS.204? Shouldn't 222 be newer than 204?

OK so the cycle setting at 248 probably delayed whatever is happening, after a few games BSOD on me and I have 7 events related to the WHEA Logger Error Event ID 17

So I ran Kombustor after logging into windows and I got 72 events with that error:(

I think I am just gonna reinstall Windows and see how it goes as I got another BSOD:
