Bsod when ocing 955 beyond 3.5

Mh comp will blue screeN after 1 min on prime when overclocked beyond 3.5! All I've done is a multiplier increase from 16 to 18. Do I need a voltage increase too?

Can you give me some more info like wat voltage? I haven't OCD anything in about 2 years so I'm abit out of the loop on these news chips!

Start from 1.400 and nudge it up from there if still BSOD'ing. You shouldn't need much more than 1.400 to get it stable at that multi.

whats your memory speed at? give us the rest of your spec please

Memory controller only officially supports 1333, so if you're trying to run at 1600, that will affect everything too.

only ddr2 at 800mhz! I've managed 3.79 but the voltage is up to 1.475. I've got a fsb of 205mhz on a 18.5mp and a north bride voltage increase! It's almost stable but would like to lower the CPU voltage if poss! People are doing it on stock volts !!! How? Thanks

maybe a weak IMC add a little CPu-NB volts
