I get a BSOD when CPU is at 4.5 with 1.27 volts.

Is this normal? I can get 4.4 at 1.249v but I have to really bump it up to get higher clocks. What should I do?

I have a really nice cooler, k2 mount doom and people are saying they can get to 4.8 with lower vaults!

Temps at 4.4 are 66c after 10mins on real temp, this too hot?

I have i5 4670k & Z87X D3H
 
lol I wrote the OP on a damned iPod. Apple never let us spell our things in a non-corporate way xD

66C on prime 95

its like 31-35c on idle though. This is without any fans running, coz fan controller is RMA

I've got mine @4.6ghz but at a huge 1.39v is this OK?

Is the boost from 4.4-4.6 of 0.15v worth it?

I'm getting much higher temps of nearly 90c now. This is without my fans working (dual extractors etc) so with my fan controller do you reckon it would be -5c or so?

also whats the best way to stabilize oc?
 
I haven't set or done anything! All I've done is increased multiplier and increased the voltage.

I have mentioned my board in the OP and want to know some specifics. E.g how do I get to the LLC or anything?

What other settings should I tweak?


Don't know what I did but on restart temps went down from 90c on prime 95 @4.6ghz to 70c. yay ;)

gonna reboot and find LLC

edit: never mind SMALL FFT's in 95 are 70c, blend is around 65 and somehow large ffts are 90c ish wtf??? small is meant to be max heat...


what testing method should i use?

I've not found LLC anywhere.

OK I've set it to EXTREME and have successfully lowered the volatage down to 1.38

Should I just set it down to 1.35, see if it boots and then lower further and test with prime 95? how should I go about doing htis?
