Hi all
Looking for some help and advice if anyone can please.
Recently I formatted my SSD drive to install windows 8.1 I started at about 11.30 one evening it was taking ages so I thought I would let it do it over night. When I went to my PC next morning I was getting this message.
RECOVERY
Your PC needs to be repaired
A required device isn't connected or cant be accessed
Error code. 0xc000000e
You'll need to use the recovery tools on your installation media
If you don't have any insulation media contact your system admin or PC manufacturer.

My PC is a self build and it's been running no problems until this I have tried to install the windows disk but I keep going back to this same message
It won't let me boot in safe mode and I can't get past boot from DVD when I try to it goes back again to this message.
I,m actually thinking of buying a new PC because I can't solve this problem!
Does any one have any idea of what going on or whats happened please please I,m desperate lol.

Can you get into the bios and ensure that you have selected the SSD as the boot drive?

And possibly could you give the full spec of your machine.

Hi yes I can get into bios and I have set the SSD but there's nothing on it because I formatted it so I set boot order as DVD drive.
My specs as far as I can remember are
Gigabyte board
16 gigs of ram
7990 gfx
Windows 7 (was)
Sorry I can't be more specific because I have not had a problem with it before and for obvious reasons I can't run anything on it to show my spec up.

If you have a 8gb usb drive handy and a valid Windows 8.1 key you can make a bootable usb drive:

Creating installation media for Windows 8.1

This will enable you to try and install via the usb stick instead of the DVD.

There are also option to create a ISO from you DVD and then use it to create a bootable usb stick:

Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool

you also use this tool to make a bootable Windows 7 disc, you will also need a valid key, however if you Google Windows 7 iso, you can legitimatly download this and use the tool, this will also allow you to check to make sure you SSD is not goosed.

Hope this can help.
