any help would be appreciated

its a B550 Msi motherboard bought a couple of says ago running 16gb ram and Ryzen 7 5800x

I have also created a recovery usb drive. I know this works as have tested it in my game pc.

however on the new pc it will not boot into it. the screen just shows the msi logo. grrrrrr starting to hate MSI already!!!

I tried everything and ended up concluding it was faulty so returned it. as soon as I went back to my old mobo the usb stick worked fine.

so now bought an Asus B550

Usb boot? Was it a usb3 port you put it into? Dunno if the board has usb2 would be worth trying could be new mobo uses different usb3 driver so your old usb install not compatible with it.
See above, I sent mobo back

Update: The Assus mobo worked ferfectly further confirming that the MSI one was faulty
