HI

What a smile I had on my face when I discovered that after 2 years of avoiding it, Vista comes with the good old blue screen of death.

I installed Vista Ultimate the other day and added the new 158.24 drivers for my 7900GS.

After about 20 mins or so I get driver_irql_not_less_or_equal on the BSOD.

Has anyone else had these problems and are there any other third party Nvidia Drivers around so I can try them out?

:)

if i were you id use 94.24 best drivers i have found dont like the new ones

On vista?

Good luck with that, they suck for pretty much anything 3D.

EDIT: remember that the 9x.xx series were designed for either Beta2 or RC1/2.

I didnt think those drivers were recommended with the 7x.xx series cards.

I went onto the Nvidia website and selected the 7.xx series with vista and it gave me the 158.24 Drivers.

Are these supposed to be for the 8.xx series?

Yeah i get the same bsod since i moved from my old x1900xt to a 8800 gts under vista 64.

Im going to hope it gets fixed in a couple of months before crysis

Well with the Guru 160 drivers, things do seem to be a lot more stable :)

I used SM 2.0 test on 3dmark06 and the stability test on ntune for 1 hour and all went well.

Guru does it again ;)
