Hi, im trying to overclock my cpu (slightly). but i the limit seems to be 212mhz on the FSB. I set the voltage of the cpu to 1.4v (1.35v normaly), but this makes no difference.

Ive looked on google for help with overclocking the AMD Athlon II X2 250 cpu and they all manage to get the FSB to around 250mhz with no problems... what could be the problem?

Thanks

Joe

Need more info also what's ur multiplier remenber also to make sure ur ht is below 1000 so set it to x4 multiplier. Also make sure ur cpu fsb isn't linked to the rest of the system otherwise ull be overclocking everything.

Also just cause someone's elses chip will go that high doesn't mean anything as it's just luck of the draw if u get a good or a bad cpu (in terms of overclocking anyway).

How can it Blue Screen if it doesn't boot up? :D

What BIOS you running?

What speed is your memory running?

SOmething isn't right there? 212MHz HT ref.Clock is rather low?

i was using the Turbo-V util that came with the MB. It blue-screens when i use that, ive also tried via bios and it doesnt boot at all.

Im not too familuar with overclocking. tried to read up on it as much as possible but just cant work this out.

maybe this will help?

DDR3-1333 has a stock base speed of 666MHz so it looks like your RAM is being overclocked more than it likes so either adjust the memory speed down or give it more volts! :)
