Hi guys had my new rig up and running now for a few weeks (in sig) with no problems at all. During this time have been doing heavy gaming etc so the computer has been under load.

Yesterday I got a BSOD with the following info:

driver_irql_not_less_or_equal **STOP: 0x0000000D1 (0x000000040, 0x00000002, 0x0000000, 0x88F7DD57)

It didn't list the file that was causing the problem.

I haven't changed any drivers or installed anything since the build so I can't figure out why this started happening.

The only thing I had done yesterday before the BSOD had appeared was to install and use Diskeeper home edition (hard drive defragger).

After a few more crashes (happened randomly - browsing the web, playing a game etc) I uninstalled diskeeper and it hasn't crashed since.

Could diskeeper be the culprit?

I have never heard of a program causing BSOD's before.....

The same thing happened to my HTPC . In desperation I ran System File Checker and it seemed to sort things out...dont know why though!
