I just got a new CPU and It's at stock settings. I ran prime after getting the first BSOD and nothing happened after 30mins, I ran my encoding software and it only last 10mins, done this 7times in a row.

'A clock interrupt was not received on a secondary processor within'

That's the error I get on the BSOD screen.

Shuttle SG33G5
Intel Q9650
8800GS
4GB Corsair XMS
Vista Ultimate 32bit

What does this mean, how do I fix it?
Is it a dead chip out of the box?

The bios was reset and that didn't fix the problem.

I checked with shuttle before I got it and they said the Q9650 would work fine in my model of shuttle using the bios I already have.
Here
Halfway down the list it states Q9650 needs Bios SG33S112 which I have.

Anyone have any other ideas? I'm leaving it out for the night and seeing how the rest of the system holds up, then I will get the CPU tested in a different pc if I can, try and rule out the chip being faulty. If both come up working fine then I need to work out why they won't work together.

Yeah memory is fine, haven't changed that. System is rock solid at the moment with old CPU back in. 400mhz rated ram working at 417mhz stock volts, perfectly for 8months, was running it at 333mhz with the Q9650 at stock.

Well I rang the shop I got it from and they suggested I take it in and they can test it, so hopefully it's faulty and the new one works fine. If not then back to the drawing board.
