BSOD

Every time I'm trying to run Win XP I'm getting BSOD with IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL. When I'm trying to run it in a Safe Mode I'm getting BSOD with PAGE FAULT IN NON PAGED AREA. Yesterday everything was fine and Win has closed without errors. Today I power it up and spend about 2 minutes in Firefox when I get BSOD with IRQL... Since then I'm unable to access windows.
Things I have tried:
boot with only one stick of ram (in different slots, both stick tried)
unplug not needed hardware (1 of ram, dvd, wireless card, usb devices)
tried to enter via last known good installation (first BSOD appears)
All fans are spinning and temps in bios are as always - 35 for CPU.
have tried to lower ram timings
have tried with loaded optimizing settings in bios

I haven't add any hardware or software in recent days. I don't wanna to install XP again as I will lose some data from system partition.

I'm reading about these BSOD's on google but still havent find the right solution.

Any ideas what else I can try/do?

First thing to do is run a memtest. If not it's likely to be a faulty driver.

ok started it now, how long it needs to test Ram in order to be sure?

it says pass complete - no errors but still testing (it is more than 20 minutes now)

Memory should be fine then. I would run a scan disk and check disk next.

what program can I use to check disk when I'm unable to boot to windows?
